MOTORBIKE TAXI (“Xe Om”) — on just about any corner of every street in Ho Chi Minh City, you’ll see groups of men relaxing on their motorbikes, patiently waiting for taxi business. These men are motorbike taxi drivers (such vehicles known locally as “Xe Om”). For a price, they will take you anywhere in the city you want to go, with small trips usually starting at around 20,000 – 40,000 VND. This is ideal for quick trips around the city, as such drivers enable you to weave through the bustling traffic and get you to your destination. Just make sure to wear a helmet during such trips.
