Mui Ne Beach – located 4 hours (214 km.) east of Ho Chi Minh City, this is one of southern Vietnam’s prime slices of beach real estate. It’s a 12 km-long sweeping bay boasting a wide range of guesthouse and resort options, with the actual village of Mui Ne set at the far eastern end of the bay. Mui Ne Beach (which has become more “upmarket” these days) makes an attractive destination for travelers looking for a quick beach holiday and Saigonese seeking a weekend retreat. From August to December, beach conditions are ideal for surfing and windsurfing (which attracts such enthusiasts). The main resort strip is known locally as Ham Tien beach.
