Hanoi Social Club

Hanoi Social Club
Hanoi Social Club (6 Hội Vũ Street, Hoàn Kiếm, Hanoi) – this restaurant, popular among expats from Australia (especially backpackers), makes it a point to serve non-Vietnamese street food. Instead, the menu here consists of vegan and vegetarian dishes such as lentil pasta, mango curry with brown rice and roast pumpkin salad. Some dishes are also available gluten free. Breakfast items like pancakes with fruit, and coffee with croissants are popular options as well.
Carnivores can opt for a burger, or a couple of meat-filled sandwiches — such as the pulled pork, Gouda and pickled cucumber sandwich and pheasant Goulash, chicken satay and Moroccan chicken served with couscous. Prices are a bit above average for a Western restaurant in Hanoi, and, no, it’s not haute cuisine, but portions are hearty, the food’s freshly prepared and ingredients are good quality. Along with its dining options, patrons often come here for the live music sessions that are held here (usually hippie-like folk music).
